European Green Deal

mitigation in agriculture. Also refers to the business model that aims to upscale climate
mitigation by paying farmers to implement climate-friendly farm management practices.

Launched by France during COP21, the international “4 per 1000” Initiative aims to demonstrate that agriculture, and in particular agricultural soils, can play a crucial role in food security and climate change.
