The conference, held in Caldas da Rainha from 27 to 29 May, examined the role of the social economy in territorial cohesion and sustainable development.
Adoración Mozas’s participation highlights the research carried out by the INUO’s Marketing and Economics Unit in the field of the social economy, as well as its links with national and international research networks and forums for scientific exchange.
The colloquium provided an opportunity to share analyses, experiences and proposals on the social economy’s contribution to the creation of quality employment, social innovation, the strengthening of local communities and territorial cohesion, highlighting its potential as a tool for promoting more inclusive and sustainable economic models.
One of the highlights of this event was the scientific and institutional cooperation between CIRIEC-Spain and CIRIEC-Portugal, a collaboration that has been consolidated over decades and has contributed to the development of research, statistical monitoring and the measurement of the social economy, as well as to the strengthening of international academic networks in this field.
In short, the holding of the 11th Iberian Colloquium thus reaffirms the importance of forums for scientific cooperation between Spain and Portugal for the exchange of knowledge and the generation of proposals aimed at public policy and the balanced development of the regions.
