The session, led by Juan Manuel Caballero, a strategic consultant, will take place on March 20 in a hybrid format.
The University Institute of Research on Olive Grove and Olive Oils (INUO) at the University of Jaén is organizing, as part of the “OliveOilMedNet: Mediterranean Network for the Promotion of Sustainability & Authenticity in the Olive Oil Sector” project, a training workshop on “Olive Tree Pruning in Different Types of Olive Groves,” to be held on Friday, March 20.
The workshop will be led by Juan Manuel Caballero and will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of Building A3 on the Las Lagunillas Campus of the University of Jaén. The session will cover the main aspects of olive tree pruning and the specific characteristics of this practice depending on the different types of olive groves.
The goal of this workshop is to provide farmers with practical knowledge and tools that will help improve farm management and facilitate sound decision-making regarding pruning, taking into account the characteristics and needs of each cultivation system.
This activity is part of the project “Mediterranean Network for the Promotion of Sustainability & Authenticity in the Olive Oil Sector – OliveOilMedNet,” co-financed by the European Union’s Interreg Euro-MED program under grant agreement No. EU-MED0200570.
